My name is Steve Day, I am a fully qualified and trained person-centred counsellor. I offer counselling to individuals and couples. Using the person-centred approach I pride myself on going above and beyond for all my clients.
I am based in St Helens, Merseyside within easy reach of Haydock, Ashton-in-Makersfield, Newton-le-Willows, Sutton, Burtonwood and Westbrook, Billinge, Golborne and Winwick

My goal is to help you with whatever issue you want to work on and help you get to the place where you want to be.
I have a level 4 Diploma in Person Centred Counselling and I am a member of the BACP.
To give you the greatest help I can I draw upon the years of professional training I received, as well as years of experience working with a vast range of clients. I also use my personal life experiences and all the knowledge gained from hundreds of books, countless videos, seminars, talks and other forms of wisdom I have acquired.
Working in a person-centred way means I respect you and the position you are in and I am free of judgement or negative feelings. I have helped many people over the years and I would like to help you too.

Counselling is an individual thing and each person has a slightly different way of working, talking, trusting, processing, etc. The way we talk is up to you, I will not tell you how you should talk or the things you should talk about or the way you should do it. The space is yours to talk about what is bothering you.
The first session is very often considerably less stressful than people expect. Over a few sessions of talking and opening up about your issues you will start to feel better as you offload and feel heard. It’s through talking and exploring that you can find a way to feel better about your issue, it’s just a question of taking the risk and trusting that you can find a better way.
